The Bà Triệu School of Consciousness is a program for Vietnamese / Vietnamese-American high school youth who see a need to enact change in their local communities. Any youth who will be in high school for the 2017-2018 school year will be eligible. The program aims to develop students’ leadership skills, activism, and personal growth. Participants will address how Vietnamese American experiences and hxstory connect to modern day issues such as anti-Black racism, LGBTQIA issues, immigration, and much more.

The program consists of a three-day weekend and two day-long follow up meetings. Students will decide on a project by the end of the first weekend and then convene for two more meetings for support on their projects. Students will be provided mentorship and support for the duration of the program.
